Obamagate: Here we go Again, Another Conspiracy Theory: More Buffoonery
Folks, here we go again. Trying to make another mountain out of a molehill. Another conspiracy theory. Another effort to fool some of the people some of the time. Another diversion from moving our country forward in the middle of a historically catastrophic pandemic event that won’t be lost to the pages of time. And what for? For puny political gain in a lame attempt to put self-interested re-election interests ahead of your interests. Really kind of disgusting wouldn’t you say?
I’m gonna go out on a limb here. I am going to assume for a moment that former disgraced National Security Advisor General Michael Flynn was inappropriately de-masked (whatever that means – yeah, yeah, I know what it means), that his admitted lying to the FBI about conversations with a Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyka (https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/michael-flynn-charged-with-making-false-statement-to-the-fbi/2017/12/01/e03a6c48-d6a2-11e7-9461-ba77d604373d_story.html) alleging among other things, interference with the 2016 Presidential Elections (i.e. Mueller Investigation and Russian interference with the 2016 Presidential Election that aided in Trump’s win), was somehow a coerced admission by bad civil servants in the Justice Department and FBI, and that the Obama administration, and former President Obama himself, was trying to undermine the new Trump administration in 2017 after the Democrats lost the election. Yeah, yeah, I got it! And, you know what, I don’t care! I DON’T CARE! My gosh! Trump Administration: You “won the election!” Why are we still crying about the Obama Administration?! Would you just get over it and move on and focus on the issues and crisis at hand!!!
Like water under a bridge, the so called “Obamagate”, which President Trump calls: a “Coup attempt” and “the biggest political crime in American history, by far” (https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2020/may/10/trump-obama-biggest-political-american-history-russia-michael-flynn) and “the greatest political crime in the history of our country” (https://www.politifact.com/factchecks/2019/apr/29/donald-trump/was-donald-trump-target-coup-no/) does not fix anything that’s more pressing at the moment. Things like depression era unemployment, a pandemic that’s approaching having killed more American’s than all our wars put together since WWII in just the last 8 weeks. Things like middle class America not having more than $400 in savings they can use to respond to an unexpected emergency and the lack of reasonably priced healthcare available to all working Americans in an emergency without bankrupting the household. And now, with our national debt having increased by 50% to over $30 trillion and a country so irresilient that it had to outsource medical supplies from abroad to supply overworked, understaffed, and under-resourced hospitals while Americans died in hospital hallways with “do not resuscitate” orders, trenches dug for the mass graves on Hart Island off Manhattan, crematoriums running 24/7, and refrigerated truck trailers on street corners keeping the dead bodies on ice because the morgues are over-run, I say cut the crap. Would you please focus and prioritize on what’s important!
Don’t get me wrong, I am for proper and transparent investigations into crimes if there are legitimate charges and reasons to investigate an alleged crime. And, I do not minimize whatsoever serious criminal allegations that any external or internal interest would conspire to engage in to undermine America and your security, rights, and way of life. And, the law enforcement and investigative agencies should do their job to follow up on alleged crimes.
But with less than six months to go before the next presidential election we are now facing diversions and distractions for the sake of political gain and personal reelection fortunes at the expense of American family’s interests. What a shame and colossal distraction. Stop it, I say! It’s like the absurdity of FDR arguing President Lincoln inappropriately engaged in the Civil War and had no right to infringe on State Rights, on the heals of the Japanese attacking Pearl Harbor. What?!? Move on already! We have bigger fish to fry. This distraction is not getting traction on my end.
Folks, we need more choices for President than what the democrats and republicans cough up and force us to eat. The way to fix it is to vote for independent candidates to Congress. It will take time and several election cycles. But if you start voting NOT for the two predominate party’s candidates, in time, your best leaders will emerge. Congress, in time, will perform their duty to be a legitimate check and balance to the other branches of government and hold them accountable, and put doing the right thing for America first.
