Career Political Provocateur: Shameful Interview by “Fox TVs” Mike Huckabee with Roger Stone – the Parrot “Lago” to President Trump’s “Jafar” in the Disney classic Aladdin”

Folks, don’t be fooled by media that tries to manipulate you.  Question everything.  Dig a little deeper to uncover the facts, then form your opinion.

Roger “The Weasel” Stone was convicted in a legitimate court of law on numerous felony counts associated with witness tampering and lying to Congress.  Roger Stone, an associate and schlocky of the President, committed these crimes because a jury decided based on the evidence presented that he is guilty.  And, by all accounts, Mr. Stone has gotten his just rewards for pursuing a career of disinformation and bending the truth, weaving false tales, and manipulating YOU – the voter.  A man who is completely devoid of integrity who works in the shadows to influence voters through falsehoods and dark deeds.

Even Mr. Stone’s long time “pal”, President Trump, has said “Roger is a stone-cold loser,” (the New Yorker in 2008), arguing he “always tries taking credit for things he never did.”  Well known in political circles for decades, Journalists have called him “the state of the art Washington sleazeball” and the “boastful black prince of Republican sleaze.”  He played an integral role in pressing Donald Trump to fabricate and disseminate doubts about President Obama’s birth place (https://www.vox.com/2019/11/15/20964909/roger-stone-trial-verdict).  By most accounts, Roger Stone is a person who plays dirty pool to manipulate YOU.    Roger Stone is the real-life parrot sidekick “Lago” to President Trump’s Jafar in the Disney classic Aladdin.  A provocateur lacking in integrity willing to do “Anything” to achieve an end.  Not the kind of guy you want to be associated with – and, one in which Mr. Huckabee fails to paint the complete picture of undermining his own credibility and redefining himself as another shameful mudslinging journalist.

For former Governor Huckabee to lend a sympathetic ear without addressing the evidence in which Roger Stone was convicted on is shameful and smacks of Huckabee having given in to mere political profiteering and advancing his own political agenda and fortunes under the guise of honest journalism.  Huckabee shamelessly allows Roger Stone to paint a picture that his trial and treatment was unjust, that it was politically motivated, that he is therefore an innocent victim who did nothing wrong (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zUIhoNbR4H4).

Roger Stone alleges the judge in the case imposed a “gag order” that prevented him from defending himself during his trial – but Mr. Huckabee fails to give any weight to the Judge’s position.  And, though Roger Stone feels he was unjustly convicted, as all convicts do, he must now serve the sentence associated with his crimes and will say anything to YOU to gain sympathy to get out of it.  It sucks to be him, but justice was indeed served.  That is, unless you believe our justice system is inherently unjust.  Perhaps naive on my part, but I choose to still believe and give the benefit of the doubt that there are still some good honest people in our judicial system that strive to do the right thing.

You have all heard it… the old saying about convicts that they are “ALL” falsely accused and innocent.  Huckabee gave Roger Stone a chance to appeal to YOU for money to finance his legal battles and beg the President for a pardon – which if he leaves office later this year may give (disgusting).  Mr. Huckabee allowed Roger Stone to express his Catholic faith, love of Jesus and his wife in a shameless appeal to your good values and sense of moral justice.  Man, I feel sorry for his wife and what she must have to endure.  Roger Stone cries that a 67-year-old man with the 40 month prison sentence he was given is essentially a death sentence.  I guess he supposes that 67-year-old men should be immune to the sentences for the crimes they commit, or they should be prorated based on their age – interesting idea, right?  But, he still committed his crimes.  I’m thinking that if you don’t want to go to jail, then don’t commit crimes – I know, call me crazy!

The most egregious story here is not Roger Stone though, its Mike Huckabee using his platform and celebrity status to interview Roger Stone and not even address the charges and evidence that was presented to the jury to convict him, but instead stoking the flames of national divisiveness.  Kind of an important point if you are going to use your nationally televised show as a legitimately balanced medium to inspire others to lend sympathy and empathy to a person you think was unjustly convicted with any degree of credibility.  Shame on Mike Huckabee.  Just another false news mouthpiece that will weave a tale for us to consume and plant false seeds of innocence in an attempt to manipulate YOU, the voter, and perpetuate this “deep-state narrative” the current regime so loves to sow… and divide, rather than unit, our nation.

Sure, our legal system is about fairness, due-process, and rules that if violated involve a penalty.  And, yes, if abused by bad actors can, and has, let guilty men free, and innocent men convicted.  In Roger Stone’s cash, he will have his chance to appeal and if the findings determine there is merit in his claim that due process was violated, he will be entitled to a new trial.  But, he will still have to confront the foundational facts that convicted him in the first place.

The bigger story here is we as voters have to think really hard about these political pundits, such as in this case, Mike Huckabee, who have an agenda to plant seeds in your head that weave tales and paint an incomplete picture that fail to give you the full story.  This is called lying where I come from – omissions of facts and half truths designed to achieve a manipulated dishonest outcome demonstrates a complete lack of integrity (lying).  Maybe the final moments of the Huckabee – Stone interview should not have been “Free Roger Stone,” but “Discontinue the Huckabee Show” for irresponsible journalism.  Just as bad, Mr. Huckabee egregiously uses and panders to good and pious Christians to manipulate their opinions by cloaking himself as a self-described Christian who, in reality, uses YOU and your good Christian values to achieve a false narrative and end - shameful.

I’m ashamed of Huckabee in committing such a shameful discourse – a discourse that any high school kid would laugh at if it were so labeled as journalism or news.

Roger Stone will now travel through the legal system as all convicts do.  He will go to jail as the judge who delivered the sentence ordered, and with the basis of a Jury’s findings.  He will have the opportunity to pursue an appeal.  And, though Mr. Stone is crying he is now bankrupt and does not know where he will find the money to resume his defense and appeals, I speculate the billionaire Trump family will find the funds to help him, that is, if the pardon does not come before the appeal, or Mr. Huckabee will continue his crusade to use his show to raise money for his defense to “Free Roger Stone.”

Folks, the saying goes: “you commit the crime, you do the time.”  And yes, I too find significant flaws in our imperfect legal system, where those who have the money to afford a defense against accusations of a crime, in contrast to those who do not, is inherently unjust – I hate it too – and reform is certainly needed on that front. But, in the case of Mike Huckabee’s evangelizing of “the poor victim Roger The Weasel Stone,” (please forgive me, I can’t help it) try not to allow yourself to be manipulated by biased media with an agenda to take advantage of you.

Roger Stone, because you got caught up in the euphoria of a President whose allegiance is for himself first, you became just another unwitting victim of his dubious, if not blatantly illegal, and certainly inappropriate international adventures.  You thought you would be protected and saved by your “daddy” (President Trump) and that you too were somehow not subject to the laws of the land.  You with glee carried out what you thought was your mission to support President Trump, and that he’d somehow reward you.  Now, you count yourself among the scores of folks who were double-dealed, and left for dead on the shores of the river “Used.”  Even though you, better than most, knew the game of only being in President Trumps circle until you were no longer useful.  Now, “Your Fired” like so many others and are adrift on the banks of that fateful river.   You are now an example of how not to get too close to the fire of a demagogue that has no problem burning you and casting you away like a used towel after you’ve served your purpose.  I wonder, does President Trump still know your name… does he recall ever meeting you?  I look forward to your book, coauthored with your likely cellmate Michael Cohen, on the pitfalls of aligning your fortunes with a manipulative and self-interested “leader” that uses you, and others, until your all used up.

Folks, though I have never personally met Roger Stone, based on the history I have read about his actions and his role in political circles, the smoke around the fire of this guy appears to be nothing short of a joker and a bum.  But as I always say, don’t take my word for it, and certainly do not take these so called balanced T.V. journalists with an agenda (Mike Huckabee) word either.  Peal the onion back and do a little research on your own, learn the facts and form your own opinion.  Maybe you’ll come to a counter conclusion that Mr. Stone is a honest Christian who only tries to do what is right and is an innocent victim of the corrupt judicial system and being persecuted for getting in the way of the “Deep State” that wants to take away America’s freedoms ( I say that with sarcasm).  If you find that is the case after a fair assessment of Roger Stone’s history and reputation, let me know.  I’m always open to changing my mind when newly surfaced facts emerge.  And above all, I only have one agenda – the health and cohesiveness of America.

P.S. My apologies for injecting “The Weasel” between Roger and Stone in the beginning of this article.  I could not help but poke a bit.  Please do not judge me too harshly for such a biased sounding remark.  My bad. Now, I’m ashamed of myself (chortling with my morning Cup of VICTORY - Rough Rider Coffee. I better put it down, right?!). Well, you get my points I think.
